teamhatcher Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026

This policy is part of the teamhatcher Terms of Service. Plain-English summary: cancel anytime, keep access until the end of what you paid for, first-time subscribers get a 14-day money-back guarantee, and otherwise we do not prorate refunds for partial periods.

1. Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel anytime, self-serve, through the Stripe billing portal linked in your workspace settings (Settings, then Billing). No emails or phone calls required. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not end your current period early.

2. What happens when you cancel

Your paid plan stays fully active until the end of the period you already paid for. After that, your workspace moves to the Free plan. Your content is preserved subject to Free plan limits; content over those limits becomes read-only. If it still exceeds Free plan limits after 60 days, we may delete the over-limit content, with email notice before deletion. Resubscribing within that window restores full access. You have a 30-day window after your plan ends to export your data, including signed documents and compliance reports.

3. Auto-renewal

Paid plans renew automatically (monthly plans each month, annual plans each year) until you cancel. We send a receipt for every charge, and for annual plans we send a reminder before renewal.

4. Refunds

  • 14-day guarantee for first-time subscribers. If this is your first paid subscription with us (monthly or annual), you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first charge by emailing support@teamhatcher.com. One per customer.
  • After 14 days, and for renewals: fees are non-refundable and we do not prorate refunds for partial months or years. Cancel before your renewal date to avoid the next charge.
  • AI Boosters: the $10 AI Booster is a consumable one-time purchase and is non-refundable once purchased. Booster usage expires at the end of the billing month in which it was purchased and does not roll over.
  • Extra Business seats: the $4 per seat per month overage is billed for each cycle in which the seat is active and is non-refundable for the cycle in progress. Removing seats takes effect at your next renewal.
  • Monthly AI allowances: allowances included in your plan reset each billing month, do not roll over, and have no cash value.
  • Billing errors: if we charged you incorrectly, tell us and we will fix it promptly with a refund or credit.
  • Required by law: nothing here limits refunds we are required to provide under applicable law.

5. Failed payments

If a charge fails, Stripe retries automatically over roughly the following two weeks and we email you to update your payment method. If payment still fails after the retry period, your workspace is downgraded to the Free plan (content preserved as described in Section 2). You can resubscribe anytime by updating your payment details.

6. Upgrades, downgrades, and proration

  • Upgrades take effect immediately. Stripe charges a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period, and your allowances step up right away.
  • Downgrades take effect at your next renewal so you keep everything you paid for. We do not issue prorated credits for downgrades mid-period.
  • Switching between monthly and annual takes effect at the end of your current term.

7. Taxes

Prices exclude taxes. Where we collect sales tax or similar taxes, they appear at checkout. If a charge is refunded, any refundable taxes collected on it are refunded too.
